BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Nevis Cultural Development Foundation will be hosting its first ever ‘Mother/Daughter Pageant’ and is inviting contestants to participate.
According to Cultural Officer Sandra Brown, the event would be held at the Nevis Cultural Complex on May 1, commencing at 8:00 p.m.
Brown said the idea originated after careful thought was given to an event to honours mothers, and knowing that Mother’s Day is globally celebrated in May, this month seem the most appropriate to host the pageant.
The pageant is open to mothers of all ages but limited to daughters age three to eight. It is also open to mothers and daughters in St. Kitts.
The contestants will be featured and judged in three segments - Introductory Speech, Talent and Evening Wear - and both mother and daughter have to participate in all.
