CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - SUPPORTERS of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) on Friday (Jan. 15) joined the Hon. Hensley Daniel as he led the party’s three-man team to the various nomination centres on Nevis.

Daniel, who was the first of the three to be nominated, will be contesting against the Hon. Mark Brantley of the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) for the St. John’s/St. Paul’s seat in Constituency Number Nine. He was nominated by Telisha Boston and Halstead Byron at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court.

From there, the team with its motorcade then headed to the Gingerland Police Station, where Patricia Hanley was nominated by the Hon. Carlisle Powell and Monica Tyson. She will be going against the leader of the CCM, Hon. Vance Amory, who will be defending his seat in Constituency Ten.

The final stop was at the New Castle Police Station, where the Hon. Patrice Nisbett was nominated by Idona Browne and Shavon Brian. He will be defending his St. James’/St. Thomas’ seat (Constituency Number Eleven) against CCM’s new-comer Alexis Jeffers.

All three candidates, along with their nominees, signed the documents that depict legal proof of their nomination. A fee of EC$150 was paid by each candidate to contest in the January 25 Federal Election. Should any candidate receive 12.5 percent of the overall votes in their Constituency, he or she will be refunded the EC$150 paid on Nomination Day.
