BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Jan. 16, 2010 – The North American School of Podology (“NASP”) will be returning to St. Kitts on February 1, 2010, with the graduating class for the Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Residency Program.
NSAP will be partnering with the St. Kitts - Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) who will be hosting this week long free foot care clinic event. NASP thanks SKNFA for all their support, and for generously donating their facilities at Football House on Lozack Road facilities to conduct the free foot care clinics.
The Royal St. Kitts Hotel and Casino will be home for the 28 NASP students and staff. “There is no better place to learn while surrounded by a tropical paradise.” says Katharin von Gavel, Founder and CEO of NASP Education.
While NASP is in town during the week of February. 1 – 5, 2010, Kittitians will be given the opportunity to experience a clinical foot evaluation and foot care treatment FREE OF CHARGE, from experienced Certified Podologists from across the United States and Canada.
The primary focus is for diabetics, but the FREE foot care service will be offered to anyone requiring nail care or skin care of the feet. Each individual will get a 30 minute treatment consisting of a foot soak, toe nail cutting and nail care, dry skin or callus exfoliation and a foot massage. This service will be offered at Football House on Monday to Thursday from 9:00am – 12:00 noon and 1:00pm - 4:00pm, and Friday 9:00am – 12:00 noon.
No appointment is necessary for these services, but in the past this has been a very popular event, to avoid the disappointment of not getting the service, please come early!
NASP is very honoured to have Dr. Andrew Holness & Dr. Caroline Lawrence, principals of the Meridian Medical Centre, as the local NASP medical liaison as well as special guest lecturers. Dr. Holness is the Academic Dean for the International University of Health Sciences at Ross Medical School. Dr. Caroline Lawrence specializes in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
