    Mr Robert Pemberton
    Mr Robert Pemberton, Level 2 Basketball Coach and Referee has been awarded the 2006 Olympic Solidarity Coaching Scholarship by the National Olympic Committee (NOC).   The coaching course is offered by the Semmelweis University, Institute of Coaching and Sport Education in Budapest, Hungary at a cost of approximately U.S $8,000.00. 
     
    The three (3) months course runs from March 22nd to June 15th and will cover the following topics:
    ü      Training theory
    ü      Sport Physiology
    ü      Sport Pedagogy
    ü      Sport Psychology
    ü      Conditioning
    ü      Sport and Research
    ü      Sport Sociology
    ü      Olympic Movement
     
    Glenn Quinlan
    Mr Pemberton is attached to the Department of Sports as a National Basketball Coach. He departs the Federation on Monday 20th March on his stint, where he will pursue a Coaching diploma from the institution, which is recognized by the International Olympic Committee.  
     
    In related News, Treasurer Glenn Quinlan has been selected to represent the NOC at a Higher Sports Administration Seminar in Curacao on March 22nd to 25th.
     
    The seminar which will be coordinated by Professor Jean-Loup Chappelet, Director of the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration will seek to get participants to exchange ideas, share experiences and move towards a better understanding of Sports Administration.
