BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS January 29, 2010 - Seven colleagues at LIME have recently earned the Company’s prestigious Customer Warrior Award. The lucky seven have each won a US$100 gift card and a letter of commendation from Chief Operating Officer, David Crawford.
Said Country Manager David Lake at the brief ceremony held to recognize the awardees: “this award is aptly named as it connotes fighting for the customer and doing whatever is required in the interest of the customer.” Directly addressing the winners, he commented, “You represent ambassadors of excellence, but we don’t want you to stop there. We wish to encourage you to persuade your colleagues and those in the wider organisation to aspire towards this achievement making our business renowned for customer service excellence.”
In the letter to the winners, LIME’s Chief Operating Officer, David Crawford expressed confidence that LIME can win in all the markets where it operates. “We need an army of colleagues fighting on behalf of the customers. Our primary objectives should include delivering a higher level of service than customers expect,” he said,
The seven winners, four from Nevis and three from St. Kitts, were nominated by their peers and received the nod for the second quarter which ended on January 11th. Clear and measurable examples were required to form part of each submission for the Customer Warrior Award. These were central to the individual’s ability to identify a root problem, demonstrate team work, provide a timely and workable solution and ultimately achieve the long-term satisfaction of the customer.
At the end of the final quarter, five finalists will be selected from nominees across the region and each one will have a chance to win a number of exciting prizes including a Caribbean Cruise for two and US$1500 spending money, a prize trip for 4 persons including family members to a pan-Caribbean LIME event, an all expense paid trip to a Leadership Conference in the Caribbean or the US or a weekend stay for two at Sandals.
A region-wide initiative, the Customer Warrior Award was launched last October. The programme falls under the auspices of LIME’s Executive Vice President, Customer Operations, Patricia Walters. In announcing the latest round of winners, Ms Walters stated, “We look forward to an exciting event in May 2010 when our five Regional Finalists will be awarded.”
Each quarter, up to 18 persons in any of LIME’s regional businesses can be nominated.
