Club Kactus merges with SL Productions

Romeo Parris of Club Kactus

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AS the owner of Club Kactus, Romeo Parris continues in his efforts to take entertainment to another level in the Federation and is pleased to announce an exciting merger between Kactus Promotions and SL Productions.

Parris, in an interview with SKNVibes PEP, said, “Over the years, Kactus has been trying to step up the game in terms of size and class of entertainment and we have been unable to obtain the level of organisation and type of class in promotion we set out to do, simple because personnel and a reliable committed team were lacking.”

Parris said he knows that in order to achieve what he wants in terms of entertainment, it would mean teaming up with someone or some individuals, that is why he chose SL Productions because they have fruitfully worked together in the past.

He said after moving his other business to Westbourne Ghaut, he came to realise that the location was a one-stop because everything was there, including SL Services.

Parris added that they have been discussing the merger for sometime and next weekend that unity would be displayed with a concert and album launch.

Speaking with Loftus Bridgewater of SL Productions, he said that he is quite comfortable in working with Parris, as he has tremendous resources that one simply could not easily find. “Therefore, with him being the resourceful person that he is in his field, and me in mine, it is the perfect merger” he added.

Bridgewater further stated that with his experience and his team he thinks he could help Parris to achieve his set goals.

When asked why the merger took so long to take effect, Bridgewater said, “Sometimes we need not to do things in a rush. Clubs are very demanding and we are trying to create an atmosphere that when people come they don’t want to leave.”

They both agreed on the fact that clubs in St. Kitts have gone ‘through the doors’ and they want it to be resuscitated with the right music, right venue, proper lighting and, most importantly, the right team. They said they would be promoting themed events for each night instead of the same old weekend club style events which are not appreciated by some patrons.

The Valentine Concert slated for February 13 will also signal the album launch for CJ, the solo singer who is signed to one of Kactus’ four record labels.

The Concert, which Parris stressed is a red carpet event, will also feature Wayne Marshall out of Jamica along with national artistes Daggah, I.T.Y.C, Yard Tune, Ezzy B, Rico and Dime, while music will be provided by Kollision Band, Sister Sensia, DJ Flames of TNO Sounds, Evolution and Kactus’ own - Konnection Band.

Parris told SKNVibes that security for this event “will be tight”, and would extend from as far as the main road in Bird Rock that leads to Club Kactus.
