BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A St. Christopher Club’s villa rented by the recently re-elected St. Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas, was broken into and a number of undisclosed items were discovered missing.
According to the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Vaughan Henderson, the villa was broken into at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 30.
Henderson stated that “a number of items were stolen” but he refused to disclose what they are and the quantity. He however said that investigations are ongoing.
In order to get a comment on the incident, SKNVibes tried to contact PM Douglas but failed in its attempt, who, according to a February 3 BBC Caribbean News in Brief report, was among a large delegation of Caribbean political and business leaders that attended the recently concluded African Union Heads of Government Summit in Ethiopia.
