    The Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court sitting in Basseterre, St. Kitts, on Wednesday 22nd March 2006, accepted the submissions of the lawyers for the PAM Petitioners  "Lindsay Grant, Eugene Hamilton and Glenroy Blanchette" that, by virtue of the Constitution, the Court of Appeal has no jurisdiction to hear Appeals on the Election Petition until the final determination of the Petition in the High Court below.

    The PAM Petitioners were represented by:
              Ariel Misick, Q.C. of the Turks and Caicos Islands
              Constance Mitcham ) of St. Kitts and Nevis
              Marguerite Foreman ) of St. Kitts and Nevis
              Fitzroy Eddy ) of St. Kitts and Nevis
     
    The matter has been sent back to the High Court for an expeditious trial.
