BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FREE airline tickets, front-row seats and VIP passes to the much talked about February 18 Beyonce concert in Trinidad were presented in a package to Craig Martin, 31, the winner of the LIME Beyonce promotion.

The exciting promotion ran for two weeks and entry into the draw was granted when customers text the word ‘Beyonce’ to short code 5463 (LIME). Following yesterday’s (Feb. 15) handing-over ceremony held at the company’s flagship store on Cayon Street, Martin spoke to SKNVibes.

“When she [the LIME representative] called me and told me that I won, I didn’t know what to say. I was excited and I told my wife that we won,” he said.

Martin, who is more of a reggae lover, said he texted in the promotion about six times, notwithstanding the numerous times he topped up his phone during the promotion. He noted that he did not enter with high hopes to be the winner but he just “tried to see what would happen” and fortunately for him, luck was in his favour.

Martin has received two airline tickets, compliments of LIAT and would leave the island this Thursday (Feb. 18). He has decided to take along his wife to enjoy the Beyonce concert and both will be enjoying a luxurious stay at the Trinidad Hilton hotel. All travel arrangements will be taken care of and the best seats will be reserved for the couple.

“I’m not really a big fan of Beyonce, but I’m glad that I will get to see her. This is my first time going to Trinidad so I will see what it is like there,” he said, adding his words of gratitude to LIME and its partners for making the promotion possible.

LIME’s Corporate Communications Vice-President Lavern Caines thanked all the customers for texting during the promotion and indicated that through key partnerships, the company takes pride in having “the most excitement” of all the telecommunications service providers.

“It comes because of our partnership arrangements with TSTT [Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago] and because we have that type of arrangement, we can always piggyback off each other’s promotions to bring even more excitement to our customers.

“We were happy that we pounced on the opportunity to get our customers in on this experience because it is going to be one of the biggest concerts the Caribbean has ever seen,” Caines told this media house following the brief prize-giving.

This promotion, according to Caines, will be the beginning of closer working relations with regional companies.

Martin will join 26 other lucky winners from across the region to experience what has been a highly anticipated concert.
