    Basseterre, St. Kitts - The St. Kitts-Nevis Bar Association will be donating to ‘Diamonds in the Rough’, a mentoring support program for 5th form students at the Washington Archibald High School in St. Kitts the sum of $10,000 from the proceeds of the Association’s first annual Pre-Christmas Dinner and Ball and Silent Auction held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Friday 11th December 2009. 

     

    The ceremony will take place on Wednesday 24th February 2010 at 9.00 a.m. at the Washington Archibald High School.  The Association wishes to thank its members, corporate partners, and the general public for supporting its very successful event which was part of the 2009 activities planned by the revitalized Association. 

     

    Mr. Charles Wilkin C.M.G., Q.C., President of the Association commented that the Association will continue in 2010 to expand its activities contributing to the development of the law, the profession and the community. 

     

    He welcomed particularly the role being played by the younger members of the profession on both islands in the revitalization of the organization.  A presentation ceremony will shortly be held in Nevis to donate $10,000 to the Single Parent Support Group.
