CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - AS part of its celebration for Black History Month, Charlestown Primary School held a musical and dance programme on Monday, February 22.

The event commenced immediately after the Morning Devotion with teachers and students decked in African outfits.

The programme also featured performances in dancing, drumming, singing and steel pan selections, and each class, from Kindergarten to Grade Six, participated in the proceedings. The Kindergarteners received a standing ovation after performing their dance routine.

Principal of the school, Kevin Barrett gave brief remarks and thanked the parents for taking time out to make sure that their children were neatly dressed in the different types of African wear.

The event was attended by parents and students as well as teachers from other schools in the area.
