Green House dominate at Maude Crosse Preparatory School Sports

    Charlestown, Nevis – GREEN HOUSE was on Tuesday (Mar. 2) crowned champions of the Maude Crosse Preparatory School Sports Day. The event, which was held at the Elquemedo Willet Park under the patronage of former West Indies cricketer Stuart Williams, provided some exciting races for the fair-sized crowd of spectators.

     

    At the end of the day the overall results saw Tyrique Smith and Jeniah Tyson both earning 22 points and holding records in the 60m for the Class Vl Boys and Girls respectively, while Ammani Williams of Class V was successful with 32 points and a record in the 400m, making him Champion Athlete for his class. Kyshani Newton was declared Champion Girl of Class V – she tallied 27 points.

     

    Lavion Smithen has set a new record for Class lV Boys in the 800m. He ended the day’s event on 43 points which made him Champion Boy for this Class, while Tamia Grant with 30 points was adjudged Champion Girl.

     

    Class lll Champion Boy and Girl were Patrick Brandy and Khameel Stapleton with a total of 23 and 37 points respectively, while Mc Cleavlan Watkins and Judene Tyson were the Class ll Champions, with the lad gaining 31 points and the lass 34. Tyson is also the Girls 100m and 400m record holder.

     

    And Brittion Walwyn, scoring the highest points (44), was adjudged Class l Champion Boy while Nekhalia Tyson earned 29 points and was declared Champion Girl.

     

    Brittion Walwyn was adjudged Victor Ludorum and Victress Ludorum went to Khameel Stapleton.

     

    The final scores were Green House 486 points, Red House 422 and Gold House brought up the rear with 329 points.

     

    Sknvibes spoke to some of the Athletes who said that they are ready for the Inter-Primary Meet scheduled for Wednesday, March 24.
