KINGSTON, Jamaica – THERE will be a final staging of the Jamaican popular sound clash ‘Death Before Dishonor’ on Easter Monday (Apr. 5).

According to yardflex.com, for 12 years famed promoters Irish and Chin have been at the forefront for sound clash culture and is hoping that ‘Death Before Dishonor-The Final Warr’ would represent a historical moment in sound clash culture.

The promoters, who are known for producing epic events, have groomed the competition into the Caribbean's most successful and well attended sound clashes.

“Sounds from all over the world have graced the Death Before Dishonor stage in hopes of becoming the next big thing. And although many have entered, only five sounds have been champions in the event’s nine-year history,” Yardflex.com reported.

Those that were said to have made the biggest impact on the crowd of die hard, often brutal sound clash fans, include Bass Odyssey, Mighty Crown, Black Kat, Tony Matterhorn and David Rodigan.

The final showdown will take place at Pier 1 in Montego Bay, Jamaica and will feature a return of the champions plus Sentinel and Bredda Hype.

Sentinel was invited to participate in the clash because they are the only US champion sounds that have not participated in the clash.

Sentinel Sound, a.k.a. The Everlasting Sound, was founded in 1998 in Stuttgart, Germany and is a group of individuals sharing ultimate love and passion for Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall music.

Sentinel is a full-fledged international sound system and is booked all over Europe, the USA,
Canada, Japan and the Caribbean. This sound made its first impact on the international dancehall scene on September 9, 200 when it defeated triple world clash winner Blackkat.

They were also the first European sound to clash in the motherland of Reggae music where the crew won against the locals Turbo Force Sound in the inner city of the Island’s capital in front of an all Jamaican audience.
