Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has accepted the invitation to deliver the keynote address at the Second Conference on Caribbean Philanthropy in Jamaica.
Dr. Douglas has been invited by Executive Director of the University of the West Indies Development & Endowment Fund, Nicole W. Sharpe, to speak on the
topic: "The role of CARICOM in facilitating regional prosperity through philanthropy-driven social and economic development."
The May 2nd to 6th event at the Rose Hall Resort and Country Club, Montego Bay, will also feature another prominent speaker, United States actor and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Mr. Danny Glover.

The University said in a statement that the first conference in February last year at its St. Augustine Campus, in Trinidad, was described as a significant turning point in the region's drive to cultivate and sustain a philanthropic culture.
It added that Conference opened the gateway for the building of philanthropic partnerships locally, regionally and internationally.
