Andrea Vanterpool appointed Anegada district officer

    Road Town, Tortola - His Excellency Governor David Pearey, after consultation with the Public Service Commission, has approved the appointment of Miss Andrea Vanterpool to the post of District Officer, Anegada.

     

    Miss Vanterpool, whose appointment became effective March 9, 2010 graduated from the Anegada School, Secondary Division (now Claudia Creque Educational Centre) in 2000 and obtained an Associate of Science degree in Human Services from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in 2003.

     

    Miss Vanterpool’s work experience includes serving as a Customer Service Representative at Virgin Traders Motor Yacht Charters from 2008 – 2009, Executive Officer, Audit Department, Virgin Islands Government from 2005 – 2007 and Customs Broker at Lazarus Services Limited from 2003 – 2005.

     

    As District Officer for Anegada, Miss Vanterpool will be responsible for carrying out various official duties on the island including the collection of land, house and other taxes, managing postal services, registering births and deaths on the island, managing the Government Administration Building, supervising the manager for public burial grounds; facilitating official visits and events on request from Government departments and coordinating activities on behalf of the Department of Disaster Management.
