Road Town, Tortola - His Excellency the Governor David Pearey is currently out of the Territory.

Governor Pearey departed the Territory on Saturday, March 27 and is expected to return to the Territory on Saturday, April 10.

Mrs. V. Inez Archibald, Deputy Governor, will serve as Acting Governor during his absence.

Mrs. Archibald’s appointment is pursuant to section 37 of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order 2007. According to the section, during any period when the Governor is absent from the Virgin Islands, the Deputy Governor or any other person designated by Her Majesty shall act in the office of Governor and perform the duties accordingly.
