C-Jay heading for the top

By: Suelika N. Creque, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – VERY soon the sexy vocals of R/B’s newest rising star Jermaine ‘C-Jay’ Cameron of St. Maarten will be heard all over the world.

According to his label manager and distributor Romeo Parris of Kactus Entertainment, they have recently made connection with a distribution/publishing company based in Australia.

Blue Pie LLC is a company responsible for marketing and selling artistes’ music, whether digitally or otherwise, along with getting their songs on advertisements, TV deals and ringtones.

“Blue Pie has represented 10 000 artistes worldwide as a publishing house, with 4.5 million songs in their catalog that they’re responsible for selling for different artistes,” Parris said. He told SKNVibes that if all goes well with the sales of C-Jay’s music by Blue Pie, he could be offered a record deal by the company.

Parris said the songs being distributed are from C-Jay’s debut album ‘Premonition’, which was released in February 2009, and include ‘They Crazy’, ‘Get to know you’, ‘If you leave’ and ‘24/7’.

C-Jay is signed to Kactus’ Agape label and has been referred to as a young Usher because of his vocal ability and smoothness as an artiste.

Born into a family whom he claims has no musical talent, his natural voice is truly a blessing. He has matured and blossomed into a polished, professional artiste from the early days of his first performance in St. Marten at the tender age of 12 when he embarked on his music career singing at church.

“Some say I got my start in church, but I started singing to little girls on the phone since I was like 10,” he said.
