Road Town, Tortola - Government services within the Central Administration Building (CAB) were temporarily disrupted today after personnel received telephone calls about a bomb threat within the building.

Public servants and customers within the CAB evacuated the building at approximately 9:30 a.m. and gathered at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park waiting for the all-clear to return to the CAB.

Acting Governor, Mrs. V. Inez Archibald, after consultation with the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force who thoroughly swept the building for any signs of a bomb, gave the all-clear to return to the CAB at approximately 11:00 a.m.

The Acting Governor expressed sincere apologies to the public for any inconvenience caused during this time and appreciates the public’s understanding. She also commended public servants for the quick and efficient manner in which they evacuated the building.
