LIME cuts rate for calls from landlines to mobiles

LIME Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS 14 April 2010 - There is good news for LIME’s customers in St. Kitts & Nevis as the Caribbean’s premier telecoms company will be lowering the rates for calls from LIME landlines to mobile phones by as much as 20%.

As of April 15, LIME’s landline customers will pay a single rate of $0.57 per minute for calls to any mobile phone at any time of the day or night.  This represents a 20% drop in the day time rate of $0.71 per minute and a 17% decrease in the evening and weekend rate of $0.69 per minute.

General Manager for LIME in St, Kitts & Nevis, David Lake said: “We are really pleased to be able to offer our customers lower calling rates and help to make things easier for consumers in these challenging times.”

“LIME’s landline service continues to provide consumers with an affordable means of communication and with these new low rates our customers will be getting even more value for their telecoms spend,” he added.

LIME’s new, lower rates for calls from landlines to mobile phones will be rolled out in all the countries governed by the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL).  As a result LIME’s landline customers in Dominica, St. Lucia, Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will also benefit from a reduction in call charges.
