BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FORT STREET is the place to be later this afternoon (Apr. 20) as Jamaican artiste Mr. Vegas will be making a performance along with Trinidad’s Soca Queen Fay-Ann Lyons.
Joining them will be Jamaica’s Michael Jackson look alike along with Vegas’ prodigy Natal. The event kicks off at 4:00 p.m sharp and will run down until 6:00 p.m.
The event is part of the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket ‘Bring It’ launch, according to Clement O’Garro who is the Co-operate Communications Officer.
He said there would be lots of give-a-ways, including T-shirts, to get everyone geared up for the Twenty20 games.
The first official game takes place on May 5 but the event is scheduled to begin from April 30 to May 16.
Mr. Vegas is known for songs such as ‘Yu Sure’, ‘Jack It Up’, ‘Latest News’, ‘Nike Air’ , ‘Heads High’ and ‘Hot Wuk’, while Fay-Ann is a three-time Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Road March champion (2003, 2008, 2009). She created history when she won the International Soca Monarch for the first time in 2009.
