BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INFAMUS’ music videos are now being shown on Tempo Channel 61; it started on Wednesday, April 21.

The music videos, ‘Feel Like Crying’, ‘Gonna Make It’ and ’21 Gun Salute (We Miss You)’, which were posted on youtube.com where they were reviewed by Tempo’s executives.

All three music videos were produced by Nigel Lewis of Tru Capo Productions.

According to his manager Diego ‘DAS’ Spanner, they received a lot of positive feedback from persons who learnt of the videos being featured on the popular Caribbean channel.
“It’s a joyous feeling, plus the fans share that same vibe. So it’s a blessing,” he said. “It was not only a success for us but for the people, who were proud to see their own local artiste being featured on the channel.”

Most artistes are desirous of getting their music videos featured on the channel but have a hard time getting it done, as sometimes they fail in making the right contacts.
“Getting the best link was the hard part but after we got to the CEO and expressed our disappointment with our prior failure, the transaction began to flow smoothly.

“They took a few days to review and we had to prepare untitled versions and had them packaged and sent off to their offices in New York,” Spanner said.

Infamus, who was recently added to the St. Kitts Music Festival to perform on the Saturday night (June 26) event, will be travelling to Canada along with his management team on Wednesday, April 28 to May 30.

Spanner said that the trip is for the artiste to record at professional studios, producing industry quality music and songs that might help to compile his first album.
“They can also look out for a few of his hits to be reproduced while there,” he said.

This will be done by the help of Canadian-based Ivan Berry, a Kittitian who has been successful in developing popular artistes in that country.

The trip will be sponsored by the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.

At the Music Festival’s press conference and singing of Infamus as the first act, Senator responsible for Tourism and International Transport, Hon. Richard Skerritt said that his ministry does not normally sponsor local artistes.

“We don’t have the budget for it, we don’t get involved in sponsoring local artistes, but we felt so strongly that Infamus has that potential that we have broken through our boundaries to be supportive, particularly with this major step to go abroad,” Skerritt said.

The Minister said that St. Kitts is a very tiny market and would not be able to provide for him the opportunities that his talent deserves.

“St. Kitts and Nevis alone cannot provide the type of income and commercial backing that he requires if he is really going to move out into the bigger times. We’ll all keep our fingers cross, keep praying and keep backing him,” he said.
