BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE anticipated ‘Rep My City’ music video by Dagah is expected to be released tonight (May 5) on Pep TV Channel 24.

Due to technical issues Pep TV has been experiencing for the past two weeks, Dagah said he was told that the video would finally be aired tonight.

The video was shot and produced by Nigel Lewis of Tru Capo Productions and features some of St. Kitts’ top entertainers as cameos.

“It’s my second video. The first was ‘I'll Never Give Up’, which generated a lot of buzz. The video is about representing St. Kitts and Nevis. No matter where you are in the world, show people that you’re proud of where you’re from,” he said.

He said the song also mentions some of the people that have been representing St. Kitts against all odds. “It’s one of those records that could get the club dancing, and I just wanted to feel good when I hear this song and feel good about where I’m from. I wrote this song when I was in New York and felt like it was necessary for me to represent where I’m from.”

The song was written by Dagah, whose real name is Kwame Samuel, and the musical accompaniment was created by Marcus Nero, a.k.a. Justin Wayne, of Nerobeats

“We have been collaborating for years…creating a style for me. When we do music we go in a different mind state. I don’t even see myself as a rapper but more like an artiste. When I’m making a song, I don’t think like this is the type of song I want to make, it just comes out that way. So, sometimes if it’s not Hip-Hop or Rap, it is what it is,” Dagah said.

Dagah, who impressed many with his performance at the 13th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival, said that his next single would be ‘Vybe with you’.
