Magistrate Josephine Mallalieu-Webbe refused the bail request of Mikhail Liburd recently at the Magistrate Court on Monday May 8, 2006.

Liburd was charged with two separate gun and ammunition charges that occurred on April 23, 2006 at Market Street.

Police complained that on the said date Liburd was found with three-38 rounds of ammunition in his possession and also a magnum revolver.

Liburd plead not guilty to both charges.

Magistrate Mallalieu-Webbe also told him that he had the choice of either having his case to be heard in the Magistrate Court or at the High Court before a judge and jury.

He opted for his case to be tried in the Magistrate Court. His case will be heard on May 26 at 9 p.m. at the Magistrate Court.
