KINGSTOWN, St.Vincent - TEN beauties are currently preparing themselves for the 2010 coveted title of Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines (MISS SVG) to be held at Victoria Park on Saturday, May 29.
The beauties, Bonnie Allicot, Kimeisha Bailey, Hadia Creese, Anna Ellis, Jodesia, Aphesha Matthews, Ashelle Morgan, Shannon Murphy, Patsy Richards and Joeverne Webb, will be competing in four-judged categories - Swimwear 25 points, Talent 20, Evening Wear 25 and Interview 30 points.
According to carnivalsvg.com, the winner would receive a three-year scholarship valued at EC$80 000 to the University of the West Indies in Trinidad, Barbados or Jamaica from the Government of SVG, $8 000 cash from the Carnival Development Corporation and other gifts.
MISS SVG 2010 will also represent her country in the Miss Carival 2010 on Friday, July 2, 2010, where she will compete against a number of other countries.
The First Runner-up will receive $5 000 while the Second Runner-up will gain $3 000 and all other contestants $1 000 each.
The reigning queen is Veronique Williams
