    CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (May 15, 2006) -
The Concerned Citizens Movement treated hundreds of mothers from all walks of life on the internationally celebrated Mothers Day, to an afternoon of music at a cocktail reception at the Old Manor Hotel in Gingerland on Sunday May 14 2006.

They were treated to musical renditions from a number of artists including local gospel singer Mr Eugene Brandy, Mr Levi James, calypsonian King Meeko and guest artist from Trinidad and Tobago gospel singer Nicole Ballosingh Holder.

While thanking the mothers for attending, Premier of Nevis and party leader Hon Vance Amory thanked mothers for their work in the community and asked them to continue to take their responsibility of motherhood seriously, to ensure that the Nevis community
Premier Hon Vance Amory accompanied by Mrs Amory enjoys the music with mothers.
continued to be the paradise that they wanted it to be.

Mr Amory noted that his Administration had ensured that its policies helped to move Nevis forward and that every household on Nevis had benefited from them.

"We in the CCM government have made it our business to ensure that we put in place policies which help to move this country forward and I want to say that every single house hold in this country has benefited from the policies of this CCM party. We want to show appreciation by having you support us and that is why we have invited you here tonight to celebrate this happy Mothers Day," he said.

According to Mr Amory, the expectation for Nevis was that it would move to greater heights because the island deserved it and that his team - Deputy Premier and Minister of Tourism Hon Malcolm Guishard, Minister of Health Hon Jean Harris, Minister of Communication and Works Hon Michael Perkins and Mr Gene Herbert a new comer to the team - was the winning team for Nevis.

Mr Amory noted that although the event was not the beginning of his party's campaign for the Nevis Island election which is constitutionally due by September 7, 2006, when the time came for the election date to be announced he said "we will ring the bell loud and clear for everyone to hear."

Mr Alistair Thompson served as master of ceremony for the event.
