BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Mansion resident Hans Lawrence, has found himself on the wrong side of the law and is expected to appear before the court to answer to gun-related charges.
According to a police press release, members of the Federation’s armed forces conducted an “intelligence-led operation” in the Mansion Village area early Sunday morning (May 16) and found a firearm at Lawrence’s home.
“At approximately 5:00 a.m., one (1) .45 pistol and six (6) rounds of matching ammunitions were found at the home of Hans Lawrence of Mansion,” the release read.
Lawrence, according information reaching this media house, was arrested and charged in relation to the find. The police communiqué however indicated that investigations into the incident are still in progress.
The number of firearms that has been removed from the streets of the Federation now stands at 23.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has attributed their success in this regard to a growing relationship with the public.
