BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A Craddock Road man remains in police custody, assisting with investigations into a gun-find which took place yesterday (May 19).
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) with responsibility for Crime, Joseph Liburd informed that Judy Browne Claxton was one of two individuals taken into custody following an exercise conducted by the Nevis Task Force.
The team, according to Liburd, “executed a search warrant” on Claxton’s premises and a 32 gauge shotgun, one 12 gauge shotgun and 81 rounds of .9mm ammunition were discovered in the bedroom of Randy Browne.
The discovered items, along with Browne and Claxton were taken into police custody.
SKNVibes understands that Claxton has since been released from police custody while Browne remains, facing the possibility of being charged with gun and ammunition possession.
The firearm is the 24th to have been removed from the Federation’s streets by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, with the assistance of other security personnel.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
