The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is appealing to the general public for assistance in their investigations of a shooting incident that occurred in the Newtown area in Basseterre on Wednesday May 17.

The incident occurred in a house on Neverson Street at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning where a couple was awakened to the sound of gunshots.

The twenty-one year old female victim, Divonne Mills received a
wound in both of her feet while the seventeen-year-old male victim Dion Roberts received a wound in his left hand.

They were treated for their injuries at the J.N.F Hospital where they
    are presently detained.

SKNVibes.com visited the couple on Wednesday afternoon while they lay on their hospital bed. Both of Mills legs were banded from her thighs down, however she seemed to be recovering smoothly.

Mills refused to comment about the incident however Roberts told SKNVibes that he is unsure of who shot him.

He also said that he was the one who called the ambulance and police and that he waited on his verandah for their arrival.

Police are requesting that any person with information relevant to the investigation of the incident should contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241, extension 236 or 466-8351 and can do so anonymously.
