By: Suelika N. Creque, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FORMERLY known as the Muse Band, the Green House Band, which membership includes one of the Federation’s top musician, Jazzique Chiverton, will soon be releasing its debut album - ‘Culture Love’.

Chiverton said that the album should be released in a few weeks.

The band has been performing in both St. Kitts and Nevis for the past two years and is now venturing into releasing its music that the members hope would not only promote themselves, but also the Federation.

The album will have an international appeal with influences of Reggae, Jazz, Rock, R&B, Pop, and Country music.

According to Chiverton, the album would feature predominantly love songs, hence the title.

“The songs were written from a West Indian perspective on love,” he said.

Chiverton also said that one of the Federation’s top vocalists, Gregory ‘Mr. Mention’ Hobson of the Nu Vybes Band, would also be featured on a track on the album. Hobson’s input is called ‘Prayer for the Ghetto Youth’.

The album will be published by ED Records and distributed by iTunes and various other outlets.

The band consists of four members. Chiverton plays the vocals, Mel Pemberton bass, Todd Pemberton plays the drum and vocalist Dwayne ‘Siven’ Thompson.

The Green House Band performs every Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Spice Mill on the Southeast Peninsula.

Chiverton said the band is different from the regular Soca bands and their mission is to play music with an international appeal.
