Bay Road shooting leaves ‘Ras P’ hospitalised

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A St. Peters man survived an early morning gun attack and is at the Joseph N. France General Hospital recovering from his injuries.

     

    According to information received from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) with responsibility for Crime, Joseph Liburd, the victim of the attack is 23-year-old Erastus ‘Ras P’ Peets of St. Peters.

     

    While details of the incident are still sketchy, ACP Liburd explained that the young man was shot “by unknown men” at about 4:30 this morning (May 29) while in the vicinity of C&C Superfoods, Bay Road Branch.

     

    Peets was rushed to the Joseph N. France (JNF) General Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

     

    SKNVibes was reliably informed that Peets sustained gunshot wounds to his abdomen, buttocks and right leg and is warded at the medical institution in stable condition.

     

    ACP Liburd informed that no one has been taken into custody regarding the incident and investigations are ongoing. 

     

    Liburd is calling on persons with information concerning the incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241 ext 220 or he could be contacted personally at 662-9336.

     

    He said information could be given on condition of anonymity and all information received would be handled with the strictest of confidence.
