BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO young men will possibly face the brunt of the law having been arrested in connection with a gun find that took place today (June 2).
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) with responsibility for Crime, Joseph Liburd, informed that at 3:30 this afternoon a search warrant was executed on the home of 23-year-old of Inibo Hendrickson of Monkey Hill and two illegal guns and matching ammunition were found.
“One .357 Magnum Revolver with five matching rounds of ammunition and one .45 Pistol with 20 matching rounds of ammunition were found and taken into custody.”
He said both Hendrickson and 23-year-old Kembo Godwin of New Road were arrested in connection with the find and have since been charged with illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of ammunition.
Both are expected to appear before the court shortly to answer to their charges. The men, according to law, can make application for bail.
These weapons are the 25th and 26th to have been removed from the streets of the Federation for the year.
