Royal Golf Course | Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 25, 2006): Dubai's international golf and lifestyle magazine "On Course" will publish a special travel feature on St. Kitts and Nevis in its July/August issue.
On Course is the official magazine of Dubai golf, A Dubai government organization that promotes golf internationally. It is also the only Middle Eastern publication approved by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the global trade organization for the golf tourism industry.
Deputy Manager of On Course magazine Walter D' Mello told SKNIS that On Course has a unique and unrivalled distribution in the Middle East and is also distributed to an exclusive database of key government and business personalities and corporate heads.
The publication is available in leading high profile international golf resorts.10,000 copies of the magazine are printed for every issue. It has a readership of 45,000 per issue. On Course is available in all golf club lounges in the Middle East and selected retail outlets.
A tourism ministry official told SKNIS that the development of the Federation's tourism product is a huge investment which eventually yields rewards in triplicate.
According to the official the initial injection of resources into the industry is always difficult but investment is the only way to get good returns and that is what we are now experiencing in the Federation.
He said of course that there will need to be a continued injection of finances for the development of the product to gain a leading edge in the tourism industry.
The ministry is pleased with the increased interest in the destination especially in key attractions into which significant sums have been invested; the golf course being a top contender. |
