Beenie Man arrested after altercation with LA Lewis

    KINGSTON, Jamaica –‘GIRLS DEM SUGAR singer Beenie Man was yesterday (June 9) arrested and subsequently released on bail following an altercation with another artiste in which guns were drawn.

     

    According to 876Radio, the Jamaican dancehall singer, born Moses David, was taken into police custody for questioning following allegations of gun-toting during an altercation with graffiti artiste LA Lewis on Saturday, June 5.

     

    The media outlet stated that according to reports, mourners were leaving the funeral service for Voicemail member Oneil Edwards when LA Lewis and Beenie Man were involved in an accident.

     

    The reports suggested that LA Lewis was bidding farewell to onlookers when he reportedly ran his vehicle into the back of Beenie Man’s sport utility vehicle. An enraged Beenie Man reportedly slapped LA Lewis and guns were reportedly drawn in the altercation.

     

    Beenie Man is known for his long going feud with rival artiste Bounty Killer and is also known for his many hit songs, such as ‘Tell Me’, ‘Who Am I’, Give It Up’, ‘Wine Gal’, ‘Hmm Hmm’, ‘Pinckey Nah Hold Yah Dung’, ‘Gime Gime’, ‘Old Dog’ and ‘Dancehall Queen’.

     

    Beebie Man has been in the music industry for over 30 years. He has over 20 albums and was the recipient of an award for Best Reggae Album for ‘Art and Life’ in 2000.
