Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 26, 2006): The Craft-House will hold a workshop to teach interested individuals the techniques of leather craft production.
General Manager of the Craft-House Austin Weekes told SKNIS that the session will begin on June 5 and run for five weeks. Workshop hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Facilitator Cidell Glen of Guyana will instruct participants on producing items such as bags, purses, sandals, passport holders, and belts.

"We continue to live up to our mandate of being a training institution for locals," Weekes said. "Quite a few persons have successfully completed courses with us and have gone on to earn money by selling items they created. I want to urge all interested persons to take advantage of the opportunity."

The classes are being offered free of cost and can accommodate a maximum of 20 persons. Participants who successfully complete the workshop will be awarded certificates.
