BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-GRAND MASTERS will not be the only local band to perform at the 14thedition of the St. Kitts Music Festival.
This latest addition was confirmed by local artistess Infamus and Rohlensha, who said that d’Vybz will be their backing band for their much anticipated performances at this year’s festival.
“I love d’Vybz music but I was most attracted to their experienced musicians and energy,” said Infamus’ Manager Diego Spanner. “So it was really an easy decision to approach d’Vybz about working with us for the Music Festival.”
Similar sentiments were expressed by Rohlensha’s Manager Cheddi Bradshaw, who indicated that getting the ideal band for his artiste was important.
“It was extremely important to get the right musicians or band to work with Rohlensha at this year’s festival, as her performance is not only keenly anticipated by her thousands of local fans but also oversees fans.”
Those overseas fans may have gotten a taste of her through her huge collaboration with Reggae/Dancehall hottest artiste at the moment, Gyptian.
Chad ‘Sucky’ Benjamin, d’Vybz co-bandleader, said his band has been practicing daily with both Infamus and Rohlensha and fans of the artistes and of d’Vybz could expect a world class performance from all mentioned.
“d’Vybz is happy and privileged to work with two of our local superstars and up and coming international artistes in Infamus and Rohlensa,” Benjamin added.
The band can be seen and heard on Friday, June 18 as part of the Central Service Station’s First Anniversary Customer Appreciation Day, where they will be performing from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
