BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man, who was charged with ‘Beastiality’, appeared before Justice Francis Belle yesterday (June 14) in the High Court and was told that his case would be heard on Thursday, June 24, 2010.
Beastiality refers to humans having sexual intercourse with animals.
It is alleged that Gift, a resident of Sandy Point, had sexual intercourse with a pig and was arrested and charged for the offence on December 25, 2009. He pleaded not guilty and is currently on bail.
Meanwhile, Simeon Govia also appeared before Justice Belle on Monday charged with wounding with intent. He was found guilty and fined $12 000 to be paid in three months or, if in default, serve three years at Her Majesty’s Prison.
The incident occurred on Sunday, May 2, 2010 and Govia, who is a farmer, had been a guest at Her Majesty’s Prison since then.
