    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE popular beach event known as Ocean Fest, held annually at Reggae Beach Bar at Cockleshell Bay on the Southeast Peninsula, is gearing up to be a spectacular event.

     

    According to Shane Pereira of Hollywood Productions, the event is organised to complement the annual St. Kitts Music Festival.
    Pereira said that after prancing, rocking and grooving to great music from world-class performers at the 14th Annual St. Kitts

     

    Music Festival, all party-goers are invited to take in the action at the beach on Sunday, June 27. “It is a beach bash that is open to the entire family,” he added.

     

    Ocean Fest began in 1996 and was a part of the Tourism Week celebrated in October. Pereira said it would be an afternoon packed with fun activities and entertainment, including wet T-shirt competition, short shorts competition, and several prizes would be up for grabs for the sexiest bikini and sexiest beachwear.

     

    There will also be a fashion show involving models of S Model Management, who will be showcasing swimwear and casual clothing.

     

    Among the DJs providing music at the event are Evolution Sound, Chalice Sound and Sweet Sister Sensia, while performances are expected from Chronical Family, Ashkanaz, Simburgers and more.

     

    The action begins at 12 noon and games/activities start at 1:00 p.m. There will also be great food and drinks on sale. Security is said to be extremely tight.

     

    Ocean Fest 2010 is expected to be an event that no one will want to miss.
