    St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas at his Labour Party's 74th annual conference.
    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MAY 30TH 2005 -
    Prime Minister Hon. Dr.

     

    Denzil L. Douglas was Sunday re-elected unopposed for the 17th consecutive year as National Political Leader of the ruling St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.

     

    Delegates to the Labour Party's 74th Annual Conference also re-elected un-opposed Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Sam Condor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris as Deputy National Political Leader and National Chairman respectively.

     

    Re-elected unopposed as National Vice Chairman was Minister of State, Sen.

     

    the Hon. Nigel Carty; National Secretary, lawyer, Jason Hamilton and National Assistant Secretary, Ms. Wanda Connor.

     

    The new National Treasurer Her Excellency Ambassador Roslyn Hazelle, who replaced Mr. Curt Lewis, who is overseas on study leave.

     

    Elected unopposed as Executive Officers were Mrs. Eugenie Condor, Mrs. Hazel Ross-Robinson and Mr. Kirth Charles.

     

    Other members of the National Executive representing the constituencies in St. Kitts are Mr. Lester Ible, Mr. Rudolph Morton, Ms. Vincia Merritt, Mr.

     

    Cuthbert Caines, Mr. George Dixon, Mr. Lenworth Harris and Mrs. Joan Phillip.

     

    The Young Labour Representative is Mr. Larry Vaughn and the Labour Women Representative is Ms. Joycelyn Matthew.
