West Indies allrounder Darren Sammy suffered an injury late Thursday during the team’s training session. He had scans on Friday which revealed a tear to his upper right thigh. He will therefore be unavailable for selection for the third Digicel Test match against South Africa at Kensington Oval, which bowls off on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the West Indies team will have Shamarh Brooks and Kerron Cottoy as emergency fielders for the third Digicel Test Match. The two allrounders are members of the Sagicor West Indies Cricket High Performance Centre.
