BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – PARTY-GOERS are in for a special treat Saturday (July 3) as Fusions Night Club will be the place to be for the ‘Ultimate Blackberry Affair’; a LIME and Cane Juice production.
The doors to the event, dubbed ‘BBM me’, will be opened from 10:30 p.m. Anyone who arrives before 12:30 a.m. with a Blackberry phone in their possession can enter the venue for a fee of $20, and those without will have to pay $25. However, those who arrive after 12:30 a.m. with or without a Blackberry phone will have to pay an entrance fee of $30.
Do not have a Blackberry? Then this is even more a reason to attend, as there would be a Blackberry giveaway, or perhaps two, according to Raphael Rodney, CEO of Cane Juice.
Rodney explained that all patrons would be given a ticket’s stub at the door upon entry to the event, and the person with the lucky stub would win the Blackberry.
Rodney said that a few months ago he came up with the idea to hold a Blackberry party but he was waiting for the right time. “It came from the fact that the popularity, convenience and flair that the Blackberry has evolved into amongst the young generation, and, as always, the business-oriented folks.”
He added that Blackberry has become a necessity; therefore, a party such as this would be great.
Over the years, Cane Juice had hosted some of the best parties and is known for its sophistication and sold-out events. Rodney said he always tries to bring parties with a difference and recognises that a good theme, along with a good entertainment package and good promotion, goes a long way.
“I try to bring out a grown and sexy crowd,” he added.
The event will feature music from Sister Sensia, Chalice Sound, TNO, Tombstone International and Guiness Evolution. Patrons are asked to keep the dress code grown, sexy and fashionable, as this could also win one lucky female and male the prizes for being the Best Dressed at the party.
There will be lots of other giveaways. According to the young promoter, with LIME being the primary telecommunication sponsor, he feels it is only fair to have giveaways. He also noted that a number of Cane Juice clothing will be up for grabs.
Rodney gave special thanks to LIME and S Model Management as well as all those who had assisted with the preparations for the event.
He is also reminding everyone to look out for the annual ‘Traffic Lights Affair’ and fashion show to be held later this year.
