BASSETERRE, St. KItts- With a similar BANG, as it did for the Nevis Leg, the St. Kitts Karaoke Idol kicked off on Wednesday June 23rd, at the Fisherman’s Wharf. The Show presented the two hundred (200) - strong audience with thirty two (32) Performers singing R & B, Reggae, Soft Rock, Modern Rock, Alternative, Soul, and Country & Western songs.
At this stage, there are fifteen (15) Males and sixteen (16) Females and it is expected that a few more singers will register seeing that Performers are allowed to drop one score before moving unto the second (2nd) Round. Not only did the Show provide a wide variety of music genres but it also highlighted some of the creativity of the Singers when they donned a spectrum of Costumes/Outfits, as evidenced by Kethurah Liburd below, who sang Stupid Cupid by Peggy Lee.
The St. Kitts end of things also has Calypsonians and Band Members participating in the likes of Queen Kibie, EK, Jack Spanner, and Skeff, mixed with traditional and first time Karaoke singers. Thus, with the First Round Shows all being free, spectators have much in store for them.

The St. Kitts Karaoke Idol is sponsored by TDC and Carib Brewery, while Media Partners include ZIZ, Choice Radio, and Nevis Pages. Apart from all Venue Management alliances, other partners include Driftwood and the Marriott Casino. The Judges are Tamika Williams, Troy “Bif” Mills, and Newish Nittal, with Ms. Shari Greaves again serving as the official Auditor.
To ensure top-quality Productions, Noah Mills, the Lead Coordinator, explained that he walked with his Management Team Members from Nevis, including Livingston “Livi” Liburd, Patrick Daniel, Vere Clark, and Mellissa Cornelius. Vakeel “Lex” Pereira has also continued to serve on the Production Team. At the end of the St. Kitts Karaoke Idol, the top six (6) Performers will go head-to-head with the top six (6) from Nevis in a SING OFF.
