BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A vehicle that was transporting equipment of the Grand Masters Band this evening (Jul. 3) fell into the sea at the Deep Water Port in Bird Rock.

SKNVibes received reports that. the truck had arrived at the Deep Water Port at approximately 8:15 p.m and, while the driver was taking it onto the Sea Bridge, the vehicle accidentally fell into the Caribbean Sea.

The vehicle was reportedly transporting the band’s musical instruments, including a number of speakers, to perform on a boat ride organised by the Potential Bar that would have seen the Small Axe Band also entertaining patrons on the cruise.

On arrival at the Port, this media house was denied access to the scene and many disenchanted young people were seen at the entrance;  some of whom said they had anxiously prepared for the cruise and were disappointed over the unfortunate incident. They also indicated that they were in doubt if it would have still been on.

Efforts to contact management or members of the Grand Masters Band were futile; however, more details will be forthcoming when information is made available.
