BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A Mc Knight resident, Jabari Archer, is currently serving a 30-day sentence for a larceny incident which he took full responsibility for.
Archer, SKNVibes understands, was accused of breaking into the vehicle of Beverly Moore and stealing a microwave, a clock and a roll of tape. The vehicle from which the items were stolen was parked at the front of her Musgrave Street, Ponds Pasture home. He, along with Conrad Clarke of Newtown was held responsible for committing the crime.
Both of them appeared before the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court yesterday (Jul. 7) to be tried for the April 19, 2010 incident, but before the case could get into full swing Archer told presiding Magistrate Karen Hyacinth Hill-Hector that he is guilty as charged.
According to information received by this media house, days after the offence was committed, Archer was found by police at Market Street in the dead of night carrying the looted microwave.
Archer was taken into police custody along with the microwave and was subsequently issued the larceny charge.
As a result of Archer’s confession, the prosecution withdrew the charge from Clarke, who was allowed to leave the court a free man.
Archer, however, was sentenced to serve a full 30-day sentence at Her Majesty’s Prison.
