BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE public awareness and education campaign of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) continues with an interactive trainer of trainers workshop, preparing community and social leaders to train their respective groups on wise money management and investment opportunities.
The free session is slated for Saturday, July 24 at ECCB Headquarters, Basseterre and will run from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The training session is designed to provide insights into the fundamentals of budgeting, saving, investing, debt management and wise use of money and credit.
According to an official of the ECCB Corporate Relations Department, La Fleur Dublin, the objective is to equip teachers and community leaders with easy-to-use money management teaching tools and techniques so they could impart knowledge to young people in an interactive, energizing manner.
“The trainer of trainers’ workshop is a free training session targeting leaders of community youth groups and Sunday school teachers who are actively involved in teaching youths. The session will provide the teachers and community leaders with tools and techniques on how to convey the message of budgeting, saving, investing and wise use of money to our youths in our community.
“At the end of the session the participants will be better equipped to impart knowledge in creative ways so that our youths can be enthused while learning the fundamentals of good money management,” Dublin told SKNVibes.
The workshop can accommodate as many as 90 teachers and leaders and it promises to be an insightful, eye-opening experience.
