Born on 26th October 1991, Deslyn grew up in the village of Fothergills, Gingerland Nevis. She gained her primary and secondary education at the Gingerland Primary and Secondary school, where she accomplished at the end of her secondary level, a total of seven CSEC ‘o’ level subjects all within A and B level.
Deslyn is currently employed at Brownhill Communications as a Customer Service Representative. Through her experience from this job and her engagement in the media, she hopes to continue to build relationships with people from all culture; religion and walks of life which is why it is her intention to one day pursue her long life dream of being a Social Media Correspondent.
Deslyn describes herself as someone who is hardworking, focused, enthusiastic, creative but most of all passionate at what she does and willing to go the extra mile. Deriving her zeal and inspiration for life from her mother, aunt and godfather – who among others continually serve as sources of positive, energy, she defines success as being able to achieve what was previously unachievable. Her many interests include dance, deejay, listening to music and socializing with positive, humorous people. Sometimes she can be quiet and reflective but friendly, sensitive and energetic.
Though it is Deslyn’s intention to capture this year’s crown she is reminded to take it as an experience of a lifetime meant to be enjoyed!!!!!!
