CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, July 22, 2010 (Press Release) - President of the Nevis Cricket Association Ronald Powell has indicated that after the break in the matches due to inclement weather, a one off finals will be played this evening between the finalists in both the top and bottom zones.
Weather permitting, it means therefore that St.James’ will play Super Rockers in match one starting at 6.30 pm and in the grand finale, Empire will take on Highlights Int in the next game.
The prize giving ceremony and closing exercises will be held at the end of the second game.
When asked about the fact that Culturama will officially start down town Charlestown this evening as well, Powell explained that his Association never had any intentions to clash with the festival committee but they needed to get the league completed before the festival goes into full swing.
Tonight will also see a crucial clash in the West Indies T-20 tournament between the Leewards and Jamaica. The Association is making plans to get a television at the pavilion so that spectators can also watch that game live on ESPN.
