Born on February 23rd 1990, 20-year-old Ulinda Warner hails from Bath Village. The daughter of Verna Thibou; Ulinda is the eldest of her six siblings.
Developing into a young woman from childhood with the support of her single parent mother; Ulinda acknowledge that the transition from her new born to infancy, teen and adolescent stages were challenging and tough.
At the age of three Ulinda entered into the Charlestown Pre-School where her emerging ability in academics and athletics were first recognised. After successfully completing Pre School, she attended the Charlestown Primary School in 1995.
Though shy, Ulinda was known as a competitive student who gained academic honours throughout her primary school education. Her hallmark was during grade sixth when she finally made the Inter-Primary Squad, after years of hard work and perseverance. In 2002 her secondary school life began at Charlestown Secondary School and was granted a scholarship from the St. Kitts-Nevis Social Security Board. The highly athletic Bath Village resident achieved and excelled in a number of sporting events, from netball to football and track and field.
She entered the 2005 Miss C.S.S House Pageant and received the awards for Ms. Intelligence. Also during her secondary school stint she pictured herself as an ambassador for her Alma matter as she regionally represented the educational institution in a number of athletic events and other shows.
Ulinda Warner believes she can make a significant contribution to her community and the country on a whole as she endeavours to become a Criminal Defence Lawyer. “I see it as a way of giving back to my community, also providing opportunities for persons to achieve goals they have established.” Being a Criminal Defence Lawyer, “the younger generation can look towards me as a positive role model in society with whom they admire”.
Ulinda believes that in life people must start allowing themselves to achieve more than the person they look up to. “I think it’s a way to acquire self-purpose and ability." In her spare sociable time, Ulinda pre-occupies herself listening to all genres of music [I have a distinct favour for calypso and soca music], enjoy the company of my siblings, modeling and dancing.
