CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, July 23, 2010 (Press Release) - Cricket lovers on Nevis will have to wait a while longer before an overall winner in the 2010 female cricket league is determined.
Late Thursday afternoon a release from the Nevis Cricket Association indicated that the one off finals which had been planned for that same evening had been further postponed.
According to President of the Nevis Cricket Association Ronald Powell, the decision this time around was not based on the weather conditions which have taken heavy toll of the finals so far, but due to other circumstances which basically involved the unavailability of some players.
It was also based on the very important factor of the official opening of Culturama to be considered with all of the pomp and ceremony and fireworks in nearby downtown Charlestown.
The Association now intends to revert to the original best of three format and the plan is to have the matches staged immediately on the completion of the Culturama festivities.
However, whatever is finalized will be relayed to the general public in due time.
