CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, July 23, 2010 (Press Release) - Two Coaching clinics will officially close today after a two week stint.
Over at the St.Thomas’ Primary School, the Eddy Richards Football Coaching clinic will conclude with a brief ceremony at 10.30 am this morning.
More than forty young footballers attended the clinic and were coached in the basic skills of Football which included the skills of dribbling, passing, controlling and shooting.
The potential goal keepers also had several lessons compliments of Coach Eddy Caines himself, a former Nevis goal keeper and Masefield Nisbett who also was a custodian in the Nevis goal in former times.
Richards also ensured that quite a number of motivational speeches were made by certain distinguished members of the community who sought to guide the youngsters in terms of their overall lifestyles.
Later at Grove Park, it will be the closing exercises of the Bank of Nevis sponsored Cricket coaching clinic. The closing ceremony in this clinic will take place at about 11am at Grove Park.
The sessions in the fundamentals of the game of cricket were badly hampered by rain but chief Coordinator of the program, Carl Tuckett indicated that quite a bit was achieved during the period.
