Anyone who becomes familiar with Ms. Trevicia Adams’ philosophy on life will come to know that she believes, "Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be prepared for changes." For this very reason she feels that this year’s Culturama Beauty Pageant will be a life changing experience for her.
Miss Adams is a very ambitious, determined and multi talented 19 years old beauty who hails from Ponds Pasture in St.Kitts. Trevicia also sees the Miss Culturama Pageant as another stepping stone in her personal development. It will allow her the opportunity to further enhance her public speaking skills; as this will be an asset as she continues to pursue one of her life-long goals of being an International Spokes Model.
Additionally, Trevicia has her eyes set on another personal aspiration of becoming a qualified Human Resources Professional and ultimately an entrepreneur focusing in the area of beauty. Several persons have challenged her aims by asking why an educated person would focus on a career in beauty. Her answer to all was simply this: “I find that many young females think of beauty in the wrong sense and thus cause many of them to lack the self confidence and motivation that they need to be strong women in our society.” She further declares that if she finds with this path of life she can change just one person’s way of thinking she has done her job.
Trevicia is no stranger to the pageant arena since she first got the opportunity to attempt pageantry at the age of 15; where she entered the UDC Talented Teen Pageant and was awarded Best Talent and Best Evening wear and placed 1st Runner Up. However her quest did not end there, less than two (2) years later she entered the Miss Back to Roots Pageant and she successfully won the crown by winning 4 of the 5 segments.
It is no secret that everyone needs some sort of activity to release their minds of all social ills that are plaguing our society and indeed Trevicia is doing just that! She has been a member of the Okola Tegremantine Arts Theatre for over 7 years and nothing calms her mind than listening and dancing to the pulsating rhythm of our African drums.
She considers all her accomplishments thus far as merely the beginning of a journey and looks forward to the prestigious Culturama Pageant to continue to make her mark for the good of humanity. She is already excited and welcomes one and all for this year’s ball.
